My Project

As a School Social Worker, I have the pleasure of providing emotional support to children from elementary to high school. My students come from various backgrounds and I love the opportunity to learn from them as well as teach them new things.

My goal is to be able to use creative activities as well as mindfulness tools to help my students develop and use effective coping skills to manage anxiety as well as their emotions.

Using the games and conversation starters will be a great resource to help start conversations about feelings. Stress balls as well as fidget toys have been proven to help students engage with their emotions as well as regulate their emotions. In addition, using beads, slime are all effective ways to process emotions and feelings.
