This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The specific items I’m requesting—decorations, fidgets, a new office setup, and SEL-focused books—will greatly enhance the therapeutic environment and support clients' learning. Lemons, used as decorations, add a vibrant and fresh aesthetic to the space. Their cheerful yellow color can boost mood and energy levels, making the therapy space more inviting and engaging, which can contribute to a more comfortable and positive experience for clients. Fidgets are essential for helping clients manage stress and maintain focus. By providing these tools, I’m supporting clients who may need sensory input to stay engaged, creating a more inclusive and effective therapeutic environment.

Setting up a new office will be key in creating a well-organized, calm area for planning and client interactions.

This space will allow me to manage resources better, provide one-on-one support, and create a structured environment conducive to growth and healing. Books that focus on social-emotional learning (SEL) are powerful tools in therapy. They help clients understand and manage their emotions, build empathy, and develop coping strategies.

Goals for the Project: The primary goal of this project is to create a more inviting, functional, and resource-rich therapeutic space. By incorporating these items, I aim to enhance both the physical and emotional environment, making it more conducive to client engagement, emotional growth, and overall well-being.

What Makes Your Clients Special: My clients are special because they come to therapy with unique experiences, challenges, and strengths. This project recognizes their individuality and aims to provide them with the tools and spaces that best support their therapeutic journey. The cheerful decor, practical resources like fidgets, and SEL-focused books will create an environment where clients can feel comfortable, focused, and inspired to heal and grow.
