My Project

I work in a space in a high school where kids come to regulate themselves when they are stressed or overwhelmed with school or personal life. They have the option of speaking with several trusted adults to process their emotions but often only need a quiet break to regulate and reset so they can go back to class, ready to learn. Having a larger selection of items that assist in regulation would mean more youth could benefit from this space. Learning coping skills for frustration and stress tolerance are skills these adolescents will take into their adult lives, something we all will benefit from.
