My students need a keyboard, micro SD card, and a stylus to make full use of our tablet

My Students
When you and I were in school we used pencils tablets of paper. Today, technology is everywhere. For our students to be competitive in the world they need constant access to technology.
Often, when teachers write grant proposals, they try tell potential donors about how their students are special and different.
My students are not. They need access to technology like the kids whose family can provide all of the computers and gadgets. They need to develop skills in acquiring and processing information, just like all other students. They need to be able to create with technology, the same as every other kid in America.
My Project
Tablets are a relatively new computer technology and there are some real advantages to having them in the classroom. Where a desktop computer is anchored to one place and can be difficult to share around the room, a tablet is something where research or text can be shared quickly back and forth in a small group. Within these small groups, students will be able to scroll through portions of reading material with ease like an e-reader. Still, students need to be able to input their own ideas and create documents. A keyboard for our tablet, a stylus, and an SD card will open this tablet technology to my students.
Technology is not the future, it is right now.
These kids are not the future, they are right now. They cannot wait to have access to technology in the future, they need helpful people to provide it right now!
