This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach Theatre Arts to 6th - 8th grade students at an urban, Title I school in Southern California. The majority of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. But they are more than just stats - My students are amazing kids!
They put their best selves forward each day in class.
We work on stage and video projects, and I want every student to be able to record and edit their projects - whether in groups or individually. By having devices in the classroom for students to use, everyone will have the opportunity to record and edit their projects. I want to make sure everyone has the same opportunity to succeed.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
