This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach a classroom of six and seven-year-olds in a Title I school. Most of my students are struggling emergent readers who don't get to experience a lot of things that other students their age across the country get to experience. I hope to bring as many experiences as possible to my students.
Our classroom is a family that loves and respects each other.
Peer to peer tutoring is accepted and enjoyed. My students love learning from other students in the class. They appreciate help and feel loved when they get that special peer to peer help!
My Project
I am asking for basic classroom supplies to help my firsties be successful. These are supplies that we will used each and every day.
I have also found that my students love drawing and creating.
It is my hope to use the folders, sheet protectors, and pencils requested for this project to allow my students to successfully organize their work. The folders and pouches will allow them to organize their materials for their every day work assignments. The folders will have stories that they can practice reading at home.
They will also use the folders to keep up their homework. Keeping up with homework can be a huge challenge when you don't have a folder to put it in!
The pencils are important and will be used daily, hourly, almost every minute!
Thank you for considering our project! We appreciate you!
