My Project

Please help my students achieve their writing goals by donating to our classroom. I have an inquisitive group of students that are eager to learn. They are excited and engaged in the curriculum we use on a daily basis. Our county incorporates both Fundations and Wit & Wisdom programs to correlate with the North Carolina learning standards. Fundations is the fundamental building block for phonics needed to gain literacy skills. Wit & Wisdom is a reading and writing curriculum that incorporates various genres of books. Both are rigorous programs that build upon prior knowledge and skills.

My goal is for students to gain the knowledge and skills they need to grow into successful readers and writers.

The list of desired materials would be a great addition to our classroom supplies. The students use whiteboards and dry erase markers daily during Fundations when sounding out and spelling words. The writing process is used throughout the year. The coil binding machine would allow us create class books and spiral learning workbooks for use during reading and math small group interventions. The drawer carts would be a great place to store writing supplies and rough drafts during the writing process.
