This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At NCNAA our students come from a variety of learning experiences prior to coming to school in the United States. With their ESOL instruction this year I am hoping to create strong foundations for reading, writing, speaking, and listening. One way for us to work on these skills together is for all students to have their own individual writing journals.

These writing journals will serve as a portfolio of their writing progression as we explore, colors, shapes, and storytelling.

It will help us reflect back on where they started to where they end their kindergarten year. It will serve as a reminder of all the stories they told this year. Help give my students writing journals!
