Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My newcomer students work hard each day but being middle school students they occasionally arrive to class sick and therefore not at their best to work. As an ICT teacher in an ESL grouping, I go with the students to each class and not having cleaning supplies in each room can be an issue. Cleaning desks or the board should be a part of the daily class routine. With a steady supply of cleaning supplies in class, students will be able to focus on working and not have to worry about staying healthy! They will be able to wipe down their desks, chairs or supplies and keep germs away!

Having materials for the whiteboards and cleaning supplies in class will help students keep and maintain a clean classroom.

Additionally, having individual whiteboards, markers and erasers will help my newcomer students work individually on skills without having to worry about sharing materials or supplies. The whiteboards would be used to help facilitate whole class instruction as well!
