My Project

Our school has begun a writing class for their K-8 students. It is a wonderful school and they are trying their best to help students in need.

With this new writing class, I am creating a new curriculum for these students to help them with their parts of speech, writing, and phonics.

These items are meant to help close that educational gap.

Flashcards and magnets will allow them to learn spelling and gain better word recognition. Since many of these students are behind their grade levels, the manipulatives included in this list will aid them in letter recognition and phonetical reproduction. Plus, every class can benefit from having individual whiteboards for individual writing practice. Many of these items come highly recommended by professional development companies and help to assist in students achieving state and federal writing standards.

This is a brand new class to help created to help these 350 students catch up with their learning, which for many schools has been a struggle since Covid. These are mostly low-income housing students who are growing up in very stressful situations. Items like the fidgets and hand-squeezers have shown to help students focus on work while allowing them to utilize pent-up energy. Furthermore, they help build the muscles in the hand for better control over their pencils and keyboards.

I only wish to provide them with the tools they will need in order to use the English language more effectively. With your help, I would like to provide the very best education for these students.
