My Students

We are an Autism specific Special Education class at a Title I school. The students in our class see the world through a different pair of glasses. In our school, there is a large special needs population with a heavy emphasis on Autism. Our school services our local military, Barksdale Air Force Base, and many students from various cultural backgrounds. Our students help us to see the world through their eyes.

My students are all 4 or 5 years old and in school for the first time.

Most of my students are non-verbal and have very little to no communication skills.

My Project

The project I have created will help foster fine motor skills. Almost all of my students have a fine motor deficit. The materials I have added to my project will allow them to practice their fine motor skills in a fun way. Most of my students require hand over hand support in the area of writing and fine motor.

Writing is a necessary part of life.

We write daily and my students are getting that foundation in my classroom. With your help I can give this write and wipe boards, pre writing magnet boards, and hundreds of supplemental writing activities on Teachers Pay Teachers.
