Help me give my students mentor texts to inspire their creative writing. The “ Who Would Win?” book bundle will intrigue my students and motivate them to write creative nonfiction pieces that showcase their learning.
My 4th grade students are eager to learn and love sharing ideas and learning about the world.
The books in this project will inspire them to write about their own world experiences as well as newly acquired knowledge from the content in these texts.
I plan to use the book “ Where are You From?” As a mentor text for my students to write their own creative poem about where they are from.
The biographies in this project will be used as content for students to write “reports” on those diverse biographies. To inspire different writing styles, I will use the ABC books, the “ Who Would Win?” books, and “ The Important Book”. These each have a different style of writing that my students can use in their own writing.
