My Students
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. I want to introduce them to all types of art and different ways to express themselves. They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet.

My Project
The use of books in an elementary art classroom is very helpful when teaching different mediums and techniques. These art related books will allow me to teach art subject matters easily. It will also help me create a reading station in my classroom. When something goes awry or students have finished their work early, it will be nice to have a reading station ready for them to spend the remaining time at. When students finish early in my class they get bored and may distract other students. But by having books, students will be able to avoid all of these problems and focus on increasing their learning and reading skills!
