Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a class of energetic, enthusiastic, and amazing Kindergarten students! Our school is a Title I school where most students come from low-income or poverty-stricken homes or may live in a motel. All of the students receive free lunch. Most are English Language Learners, while some have special needs. These students come to school eager to learn every day with big smiles on their faces, regardless of their circumstances. I want to help my students in every way that I can in order for them to be successful in reaching their goal of developing their skills, and of course, have fun!

My students have worked so hard this year and I am beyond proud of their continuing growth!

Last year, one of my colleagues was gifted a book by Eric Carle. She asked me to read it and I was left in tears! We then decided that this will be the perfect Moving Up gift for our Kindergarteners as it is a wonderful and inspirational book. We are planning to read this book during our Moving Up ceremony and then gifting them each with their own copy with a personalized, hand-written note. I hope you can help provide this special gift for my students because they are pretty amazing!
