Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our classroom, we are learning that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and loved. My young students are just beginning to explore who they are and how they fit into the world around them. This project will help us build a foundation of empathy, inclusion, and respect from the very start.
With your support, we’ll receive multicultural art supplies like skin-tone crayons, colored pencils, and paints that allow students to accurately represent themselves and others in their creative work.
We’ll also welcome diverse dolls into our play centers, along with posters and books that celebrate different races, cultures, and identities.
These materials will help my students see themselves reflected in our classroom and learn about others who may look or live differently. Through storytelling, art, and play, we’ll talk about fairness, kindness, and the beauty of diversity. These are big ideas, but even our smallest learners are ready to grow into compassionate, inclusive citizens—especially when given the tools to do so.
