This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions. The students in my class are eager to learn and have so much energy!

Even though the majority of my students come from economically disadvantaged homes, they show up to school with a smile and thirst for knowledge.

They come to school with the desire to learn and explore. However, they are limited to what I can show them on my old desk computer that is bolted to the desk. They need access to technology that I can move around the classroom to meet their needs.

My Project

The use of technology in the classroom is a must in every day lessons and activities. For example, I can demonstrate how to research a topic of interest, images that relate to what they are learning and give them access to different digital resources that are available to them.

By having a laptop I can create engaging lessons in math, science and language arts that will spark my students interest and desire to learn.

I can bring the world at their fingertips!

They will have access to research information on current topics of interest and make learning fun. My students will be able to create projects on the laptop. They will have the opportunity to work in small groups and individually on it. The possibilities are endless!
