Our school has seen tremendous academic growth in the past four years. We have moved from a C rating to an A-. This is a direct result of teachers, students and parents welling to make necessary changes to creative highly successful students. The school has created a more hands on environment where students are taking a more active involvement in their education. Students are discovering the joy of learning. After all, our school theme is, Learning to Lead and Leading to Learn.

This is what I see everyday in my classroom. Each child comes with a thirst for learning. The minute they walk through the door they are hungry for knowledge. Eyes will scan the room for evidence of what they get to manipulate, explore and discover. The classroom is a well oiled machine ready for motion.
My Project
One cannot put a price on the importance of reading. Through read-along books, students are given the opportunity to see, hear and listen to the written word. It does not matter what level they are reading at, with read-along books everyone learns.
Each day students are given the opportunity to rotate between eight different stations.
These activities are designed to stimulate the students' minds in a self-discovery fashion. Reading along with books is one of the stations. Because of the large number of students attending my school, it is difficult to have access to the few read-along books that the school has available.
