My Project
I now teach at a Title I school where many of our students face daily challenges beyond the classroom. Despite these obstacles, they come to school eager to learn, explore, and grow. One of our most important goals is to build confident, capable readers—We need a reading nook, comfy seating, a cozy spot to read (rug) and write as well.
We are seeking support to transform our classroom into a Reading Oasis and invite students to dive into books by listening to stories during read alouds on the carpet , build reading stamina, and engage in focused reading intervention and having pillows and floor cushions to have a reading nook.
We will also use this space to grow our writing and critical thinking skills through text and book studies. We are looking forward to helping our students to grow a love for reading and never stop learning!
