This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The PASS program, (Positive Approach to Student Success) allows our students to thrive with their mainstream peers. Our students are developing their social-emotional and behavioral life skills. Gardening is a wonderful activity for special needs children, as it provides a wealth of benefits beyond just the enjoyment of plants and flowers.

One of the primary benefits of gardening for special needs children is the opportunity for them to learn patience and perseverance.

Gardening requires time and effort, and it can take weeks or even months for plants to grow and reach maturity. This can be a great way for children to practice patience and learn the value of waiting for something to happen. A new steel utility tool shed with a lock will keep all of our gardening supplies safe and easily accessible to students. The garden trellises to keep our plants safe off the ground.
