Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 3rd grade class loves a good book, and The Wild Robot by Peter Brown is an awesome one. I love to read aloud to them, however I only have one copy. This would provide the class with enough books for them to each have a copy of their own to follow along and read along with me.
This book takes them on a wonderful adventure and I am sure that my students would love to hold it in their hand as they follow along.
We also have an end of the year Memorial Day Run, where all the students get to participate in running a mile. We would love to provide them with festive gear to get them into the spirit. This would provide them with fancy glasses, flower leis, and bandanas to look the part and feel great as they run!
