This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We have been working on reading novels as a class. I believe the Wild Robot will be a great novel to help push the kids to understand how a character can change throughout a novel. Most of our students have never read a chapter book before, and the Wild Robot is an accessible level with some pictures to help our ELLs with comprehension.
This class set will mean that each student is able to follow along while we read.
I believe having each student holding the book will make a big difference when it comes to building comprehension. My students are hard workers and have been really pushing themselves to improve their reading. I want each student to finish this book with a new confidence that will have them picking up chapter books on their own.
