This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My goal for this project is to give my four year old students the opportunity to strengthen their hands and minds with some manipulatives. The play dough is used for their finger strength and to roll into numbers, letters and for creative play. The playstixs are a wonderful building material with their different color, texture and sizes. It will challenge the students in new ways.
I am most excited about the magnetic translucent color chips and magnetic wands.
There are so many uses across the curriculum for them in ELA, math, and science. The letters and tools are also to enhance the learning of all the kids.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
