It's official! School is back in session. We are already in week 2, and the introductions, class procedures, and routines are being established. Soon, it will be time for field trips and monthly celebrations. Now that many of the students are a bit older, it's time to give them more responsibilities, but in a fun way.
This project aims to experience field trips, visitors, and celebrations from the lens of my students.
One of the first field trips is to the Pumpkin Patch, where many families chaperone. They will be able to use the Go Pro to document hay rides, slides, and picking pumpkins. This means that I won't have to continue to overflow my personal phone with videos and images and can now have it stored on a separate memory card. So many times, they may ask for my phone to take a picture or record a memory. With the memory card, I can share these moments more easily with parents and caregivers.
It's time to capture some of our moments from the lens of our students! The Go Pro can record glimpses from learning, dance moves during indoor recess and outdoor, or whatever activities we engage in. No matter the activity, I am curious to see the images and videos captured by my students.
There is also a small handful of students who are interested in creating content. Who knows, this could be a start for them to explore the process.
The sky is the limit with the Go Pro for our classroom!
