My Project

My students are powerful, amazing individuals with Low-Incidence Disabilities who work hard every day to complete their academic goals in math, ELA, science, and social studies. We provide them with opportunities to learn real-world skills that are essential for living independently and succeeding beyond school.

Last year, we launched Café WaLoCo as part of a boutique hotel-style transition classroom pilot — and it transformed our students’ learning.

From processing and delivering orders to managing inventory, students gained hands-on experience in real-world job skills. The café, frequented by staff and visitors, creates an authentic work environment that boosts their confidence and social skills. Because of this success, we’ve been given an additional classroom to expand these lessons and deepen their experiences.

The NicBex Velvet Dining Chairs, VECELO 3-Piece Round Pub Dining Sets, and Jamestown Round Coffee Tables will help us create an immersive, real-world environment where students can practice vital independent living and employability skills — like meal preparation, social communication, workplace etiquette, and teamwork — in a safe and supportive space.

These pieces aren’t just furniture; they’re essential tools that build my students’ confidence, social skills, and practical experience. By donating to this project, you will help us give these amazing students the strongest transition lessons possible — preparing them for independence and meaningful futures.
