My Project

Considering our population of students in PK have either had limited experiences with a school environment- or none at all- I believe that as teachers in early childhood we have seen some of the most drastic effects due to COVID. So many of our 4 year olds come in with such limited social interactions, that those social skills are becoming some of the most important things we are teaching. This is not even touching on how developmentally behind many of these children are due to the isolation involved with the pandemic. With the requested materials, I would like to provide amazing experiences for them to develop their literacy, math, and fine motor skills, as well as provide stimulating sensory activities. The parallel play between peers will also encourage development and growth in those social deficits we have seen.
