My Students

We are an amazing group of 4th and 5th graders, who love science! Now we have our fabulous microscopes for science, but would also like sets of slides to look at under our microscopes and did we say, "We love science!" We are a Title I school with 40% of our students receiving free or reduced-price lunch, and 23% Native Americans. Our families often have no computers. Please help my kids have the same science experiences that other school can afford their students. Thanks for considering!

My Project

In 4th grade, we will be analyzing the differences between plant and animal cells, as well as collecting our own specimens for observation. The kids will be able to see each of the parts of cells, as well as identifying the parts. We now have the most amazing equipment that will actually allow us to see with our own eyes instead of looking at a diagram in our science book. At this age, curiosity is what will make these kids want to be scientists! Looking at their previously unseen world breeds that curiosity!
