This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year we had our inaugural ukulele club at my school. I had a few instruments, and a Donor's Choose campaign brought us 4 more. The club quickly filled to capacity, and we found ourselves in the sad position of having to turn students away.

With your support, we will have the ukuleles, strings, and tuners to have 20 middle and high-school students in our club next year.

Our school is a newcomers school. The Uke Club has students who come 6 different countries and speak 4 different languages learning music together. Thank you so much for your help!
