This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We currently only have three very old tricycles for our four Kindergarten classrooms. The students love riding the trikes on the playground path every day during recess and lunch. Riding on a trike helps young students to develop coordination and balance when they are mastering their steering skills. It also helps to develop hand-eye coordination when they are taking turns on the bike path and avoiding obstacles.
It is easier to keep your balance on a tricycle.
A tricycle offers more stability than a two-wheel bike. Tricycles do not fall over when it is stationary and you can easily get on and off the bike without any problems.
