My junior high and high school students are excited to learn about the world of robotics and to apply their gifts and passions in regional, state, and national robotics competitions through the FIRST Robotics program.
Through this project, I hope to develop my students' interest and also develop real-world experience in a wide range of skills in STEAM.
My seventh through twelfth grade students will be building robots and competing in the FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics Challenge programs.
My Project
My students will learn to be leaders and innovators, to build science, engineering, and technology skills, and to foster self-confidence and communication. This project will bring the world of engineering and manufacturing into my classroom in an exciting and enriching way.
These hex key sets and tool boxes will make it possible for my students to construct their robotics projects, and learn how to brainstorm ideas, do development work, build and test prototype designs, quickly redesign and refine ideas, and produce fully functional components and assemblies.
With the use of these tools, students will learn to apply the engineering process and make their learning tangible and meaningful as never before. My school strives to inspire, educate, and prepare students for a wide range of careers, including those in technical fields. This project will ensure that this vision is fulfilled for many years to come.
