My Students
The best learning comes from hands-on activities. This project is designed to help them to become independent learners with hands-on activities.
My students are so wonderful.
The curiosity and love for learning makes me excited to teach them anyway I can. I am blessed to teach in the same community where my husband works as a firefighter; helping the community in different ways. I would give anything for my students and hope to inspire a love of learning in each and every one of them.
My Project
I would love to have a set of VersaTiles in my room to use as a hands-on center. My students will use VersaTiles in order to work independently, reviewing skills we have learned in Reading, Language Arts, and Math. This will be a fun, and different, approach to learning skills that we practice all the time in class. I can differentiate the skills for specific students during centers time. I love that VersaTiles are self-checking so the students can get immediate feedback and self-correct any mistakes or misconceptions. I have been fortunate to be part of a group of teachers that were able to try VersaTiles for a year. We used them daily in our class; the kids LOVE doing the activities with Versatiles.
I believe that VersaTiles will help my students in so many ways.
They will help with reading skills, problem-solving, and help foster independence. I can't wait to put it to good use in my room.
