My Students

Students need to stay motivated, be reached across learning styles and learning challenges, and increase 21st century skills in order to be prepared for High School, College and their future careers.

The kids at RS are eager to get hands-on, and there's no mistaking it, Apple got it right with this powerful little tool.

In a junior high classroom, keeping all kids engaged and focused is a real challenge. Working with a small group of students on challenging skills can leave others who need a challenge to their own devices, while working with the whole group can sometimes isolate kids who need more practice with visuals, audio cues, and interaction to gain mastery. An iPod touch appeals to every kid, whether they are using iMovie to enrich grade level standards, or using Edmodo to connect with classmates who are studying similar topics, kids will be busy learning every minute.

My Project

Motivating students is an ever-evolving skill. The iPod touch is great motivation for every student. Some students will use the device to listen audiobooks as they read a novel, some will use it to record video or create slideshows, others will use the hundreds of educational apps and websites for everything from skill practice to blogging, to vocabulary activities. There's something for everyone! What's more, the iPod touch appeals to all learning styles, where there's a need, there's an app!

Let me count the ways! Kids need quick, easy access to a variety of tools and this one amazing product does it all! Kids love innovating and creating and by infusing these great gadgets into our curriculum, learning becomes more fund and more meaningful!
