This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every day the kids are here is like a breath of fresh air. We all are comfortable with each other and each day is so much fun. We laugh, sing, and play small instruments that we have. It would be great to introduce them to bigger instruments.
My Project
We do not have a trumpet or any brass instruments in our music room. I would love the children to be able to see one up close and hopefully, once they go to middle school, they will know what instrument they will want to play or learn. Nowadays you do not see much more than drums in a room. I, myself, had been given a violin in 3rd grade and that pushed me to want to try other instruments and pursue a career in music. Music is what makes you happy.
