Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have taught 6th grade at BMS for 7 years. Next year, I will be teaching 7th and 8th grade to most of my previous students.

We could all use a fresh start!

Please help me to create a more sophisticated learning environment for my returning and incoming students.

Alternative seating with lap desks and floor cushions will help define spaces for small groups and offer students a choice in being comfortable while learning.

Students enjoy low lighting and it helps their focus as they work with Chromebooks daily. Curtains will help keep the classroom cooler and help offer a homey touch.

Scope Magazine offers my students access to high-quality, engaging content across subjects, articles, stories, dramas, and activities that align with curriculum standards and cater to different learning styles.

Students LOVE using post-its for note taking while reading, corrections on already printed out assignments, and posting their views and opinions on class discussion posters.
