This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My school is comprised of a diverse student population within a fully-inclusive, project-based learning environment. I have several students that are interested in engineering, and it is my goal to foster this passion through hands-on physical computing and robotics. It is my ultimate dream to coach a First LEGO League robotics team, which would compete regionally.
My Project
In my STEM classroom, I teach applied math and science, with a special emphasis on engineering.
I have several students that are interested in engineering, and it is my goal to foster this passion through hands-on engaging, authentic, and fun projects.
Through physical computing, students can combine computer programming skills with mechanical and electrical engineering and see their creative designs in a physical space (in real life and off of a computer screen).
In addition, it is my ultimate dream to coach a First LEGO League robotics team, which would compete regionally.
