This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These STEM kits promote active problem-solving, experimentation, and innovation—key elements for meaningful STEM education.

A STEM lab is important for student learning because it provides a hands-on, interactive environment where students can explore science, technology, engineering, and math in real-world contexts.

The lab would provide additional learning beyond their daily instruction. It encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration—skills essential for success in the 21st century. By engaging in experiments and projects, students connect classroom concepts to practical applications, making learning more meaningful and exciting. A well-equipped STEM lab also helps spark curiosity, build confidence, and inspire future careers in high-demand STEM fields.

My students have limited access to what STEM is and how it impacts everything in the world today. The activities in this lab would promote team building, problem solving and critical thinking skills as well as advancing their overall success in math, science, engineering and technology.
