Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These prize items will be used to teach financial literacy and responsibility. Students will earn Roar Bucks for role mode, respectful and empathetic behavior. They will then participate in lessons on counting money depositing it and withdrawing to shop for the prizes. This system has really motivated students to make great choices.

It is very inspiring to see students want to save money to purchase gifts for siblings and to watch them count their money.

The paper, markers, crayons, and Play Dough are all essential materials for lessons in both math and literacy. My students are amazing resilient kids who have immigrated from many different countries. We are a Multilingual classroom, and our overall goal is to teach these children how to be fantastic citizens of our school community.
