My Project

Do you remember how you felt when you were the oldest class in your school? Here at our school, we have a very small yet solid community. My bright class of fifth-grade students will be building meaningful relationships with their peers. They will also practice social and academic skills like focus and self-control, perspective-taking, communicating, making connections, critical thinking, taking on challenges, and engaged learning as they slowly transition to middle school.

The last year of elementary will provide a stepping stone for success in the grades that follow.

It is very important that every moment is a teaching opportunity. Therefore, I will try my best as their teacher to help them build a strong foundation with positive experiences.

There are many little ways to enlarge a child's world, and a love of books is the best of all. But first, I would have to provide my students with a clean and organized library. This way, students will be able to easily access the books in the sorted book bins. Right now, our classroom is in need of labels for book bins to organize our classroom library in genres and levels. The labels will help me sort the materials for the students throughout the year. Another item that my students need is new chart pockets to display vocabulary words for ELA, science, and groups for teamworking. This will be used for all subjects throughout the school year. Our classroom is located on the second floor of the school and right below us is a first-grade class. Therefore, the chair leg covers will help keep the noise level down as we transition throughout the day. By having these items, my students will have an organized classroom to start off their year!
