My Project
My students are a small group of dynamic learners who enjoy our time in the classroom together! As a special education teacher, I am always interested in how students with disabilities are achieving and, most recently, how they are achieving in inclusion classrooms.
The books I am requesting will assist me with completing my dissertation while implementing a co-teaching model with several grades at my school.
My research centers around teacher perceptions of coteaching models in schools. For this reason, I am requesting qualitative research books by authors such as Sharon Ravitch. I will need to be able to code my data for my dissertation, and the book on Coding has been heavily recommended. In order to write effectively on the topic, I need to be able to interpret qualitative research that has previously been used centering around the topic.
In addition to several books surrounding qualitative studies, I also need books regarding co-teaching itself. During professional development throughout the school year, I want to be able to provide colleagues with examples of co-teaching practices that have worked while developing mindsets to engage in a new practice at our school.
