My Students

My students are so lucky to be part of a Dual Immersion Program such excellent as the one we have in Salt lake City (Utah). A big percent of my class are latino students that have the opportunity to improve their native language while they are improving their English skills. Some students in my class are learning English too, so they need to work on the target language too.

I love my class because of its diversity!

Being all together make us learn from each other. Every student has something to share. It is amazing!

My Project

I am willing to use realia in my class. I think that reading a magazine is something fun: it can be read by different levels and gives you lots of interesting facts.

We are requesting ¿Qué Tal?, Spanish, Grades 6 - 12, a Spanish magazine, some new Spanish books and some materials - building sets and colored sand - to do reading crafts.

Luckily, thanks to you, I am going to be able to organize a library with a rug and a colorful couch.

I am going to improve my classroom by having different places to read. Reading on their desks is kind of boring for them and we don't even have a rug.

In a language class is really important to have a variety of books related to their likes and motivations, and that is what I am asking for. I think that would help me a lot in the classroom management.
