it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A typical day in my classroom begins with greeting my students with a smile. This school year I want to prepare my students to compete in the Accounting competition in DECA. I have many electronic resources to help them, but I am lacking headphones. Headphones will keep my students engaged.
My school is loaded with bright students.
There is a large population of Latino students, but for the most part it is largely diverse. Many of my students are not sure what they want to do after high school. Some of my students come from families where no one have graduated high school or have ever been in college. When they are in my class they learn about finance and entrepreneurship. I have introduce DECA a business club which has inspired many of my students to continue their education in the business field. This past year they competed for the first time and I have to say they did great. I've notice a change in their attitude and self confidence. My students have great potential and with a little help they will have great futures.
My Project
Students will receive instructions through a computer for accounting. They will go at their own pace for many activities. I have many resources that require students to listen to the lesson. Since I don't have headphones many students can't hear what is going on. One of the software I will be using in class will teach accounting basics and will have students running their own business. This simulation will help my students understand how accounting affects every decision they make.
Other than the software that I have, I record some of my lessons at home to help students who have miss a few days or have enrolled late.
These videos help the students catch up to the lessons and the rest of the class. The student can use the headphones to get a one on one session through the computer. These headphones will improve the learning experience in the class.
