Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My school is a Title I school with all of the students receiving free lunch. Over 80% of our students rely on school buses for transportation. My students range from 9th to 12th grade and many of them do not have a place to go after school.
I teach Finance and Business education.
My students have been affected by financial problems that their families face. They have taken a special interest in my class as a result.
Many of my students are displace due to the hurricane in Puerto Rico. It has been challenging making sure that they understand the content and being able to apply what they have learned. However, all of my students are hard working students and they make teaching a joy.
My Project
There are many lessons that require students to hear the lecture. Currently, they don't have access to headphone and are missing out.These headphones will give my students access to material that are audio based. This will also benefit my English as a second language students.
My students will be able to take virtual field trips.
They will also be able to take customized lessons that will fit their needs. The impact of these headphones will change the way the curriculum is being delivered.
The best feature that these headphones have to offer is that they will allow students to work at their own pace.
