Help me give my students the ability to build confidence through solo performances as well as the knowledge to care for their instruments (changing strings, rosining bows, good posture support).
Playing a string instrument requires confidence, dedication, and bravery. Students learn how to play an instrument in my classroom and then go home to show off their skills to their friends and family. The Orchestra Music they play in class as a group creates beautiful music..... in the group. Solos give students an opportunity to show what they can do outside of a group setting.
By providing students with longer solos they can accomplish, it gives them the push they need to move forward with their musical studies to show the world what else they can do.
My students become more dedicated by the day. I want to ensure I have enough materials to allow them to show their skills and express themselves through the music I provide.
Performing in front of any audience can be intimidating. The more you perform, the more confidence you gain. It takes a brave person to get up in front of a crowd. COVID-19 put a damper on large performances and now that we are getting more chances to put on shows for large audiences my students are ready to get back out there and play for everyone!
