Help me give my students headphones to better support their academics with the use of technology. Help me give my students snacks so after a day of work, they can take a sweet break!
I teach in a multi-age classroom. My students range from 2nd-5th grade and have a variety of abilities. My students require support in academics and often face challenges when accessing the general education curriculum. My students require support in academics and need differentiated activities to better suit their learning styles.
Not one student is like the other.
Some students require additional support in reading while other individuals may require support in mathematics. In addition my students receive instruction in social skills to find the strategy that better supports them when presented with a conflict or challenge. All of my students learn and blossom at their own pace.
My Project
Our snacks keep disappearing and my students keep growing! Providing my kiddos with snacks will help them become better learners and keep them focused. When students can have a brain break, whether it is having a snack, a GoNoodle break or sensory play, they will be more successful in their learning environment. My students have lunch at 10:30am and are often hungry by 1:00pm. To keep students enriched and attentive to their academics, it is crucial that they receive breaks to rationally detach, even if it is for five minutes at a time. We as adults do it frequently, whether is is going to the gym, having a nice dinner with friends, or even going for a quick walk. It is important to remember that even though there are standards to be met that our students are children. They require breaks as much as we adults do.
