My Project
In less than one month, our school doors will be open for the school year. It will be an exciting time to see new and returning faces eager to get the school year started. This year, my role as a Reading Interventionist has expanded to our Early Childhood students, and in order to meet the needs of our youngest learners, I need to have an effective plan in place!
I am in need of a mobile laptop desk to provide intervention strategies to our Early Childhood students in the building.
Pre-K 3 and 4 students are accustomed to smaller chairs and tables. After experiencing a bit of discomfort with meeting them at their height level, I want to be a bit proactive. The mobile laptop cart will allow me to comfortably adjust my instruction and positioning in the classroom without using the small chairs.
Also included in this project are plastic mirrors that will be used during reading intervention time. We are in our second year of implanting the Science of Reading into our instruction and have found that the mirrors are a great resource for students still acquiring letter-sound correspondences. The magnetic shower rods and binder rings will be used to hold our anchor charts together so that we can constantly have them available as a classroom resource.
