Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Teaching digital literacy and computer science in a larger urban elementary school has allowed me to create opportunities that inspire our students to think about careers related to video production and media.
Many of our students do not have technology at home.
However, our school has been able to give our students guided access to technology and expose our young minds to endless possibilities.
We were exceptionally fortunate to have a DC project funded previously. This project provided our school with some basic technology to get us started. The usage of these resources has been well received. This new DC project will further contribute and enhance our students' experiences.
