This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year, our kindergarteners and TK students will be putting on their very first musical. We are going to incorporate our social studies unit on community helpers and have the students perform a musical based on them. Our students have limited exposure to theatre and we are excited to introduction the art of producing a show to them.
The Friendly Neighborhood Helpers musical will be a fun and exciting way to help our students shine during their first production at school.
We were able to secure the music, lyrics, and script, but are lacking costumes to pull the whole show together.
We are looking to provide each character with the appropriate costume to wear during the show. We will highlight crossing guards, dentists, chefs, grocers, fire fighters, mail carriers, plumbers and garbage truck drivers.
