The seeds of expressionism, impressionism, renaissance, neo-classicism and urban art are being sown in the Bronx. It is my dream to turn my classroom into a palette, enriched with the tools and materials to ignite creativity.
I am a pre-k teacher in the Bronx educating 18 young children. The children are enthusiastic and they have absorbed so much since September. I am in need of art supplies to illustrate how they themselves can have a hands-on experience that may spark a hidden talent.
I am requesting rainbow crayons, felt, feathers, buttons, gemstones, shapes, beads, fur, collage leaves, collage flowers and collage boxes. We also need watercolors, roll on painters, and glitter paint.
Observing a child, during that moment when they realize they have an interest and an aptitude for art is precious. I am hoping some of the children discover an inner talent they can pursue as they move along in school.
Please consider granting my students these materials, it will make a big difference in their education. I will even have enough materials for next year's class. Thank you for taking the time to read my proposal.
