Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project encourages first grade students to write heartfelt notes and letters to loved ones using colorful stationery, markers, stickers, and creative tools.
These materials make writing fun and engaging, helping students develop fine motor skills, self-expression, and confidence in their writing.
Our goals are to inspire a love for writing, build communication skills, and nurture creativity through artistic expression.
What makes this project especially meaningful is that my students attend a Title 1 early childhood center and come from a beautifully diverse community. Many of them face unique challenges, and opportunities like this help level the playing field—giving them the tools to express themselves, connect with others, and discover the joy of writing in a fun, supportive way.
