My Students
Welcome to the "Scooby Doo Lounge!!" In the this lounge, you will find that 78 scholars are engaged in learning and they are each yearning to learn about 5th Grade Science and Social Studies!!! These 4 walls allow the learning process to take place in a variety of ways! The goal of this lounge is to provide flexible seating for all of the students I teach. Flexible seating allows each of my students to choose where they each sit. Not only that, with these items I have selected, they will each have a a unique and different way to sit in my classroom. These items are comfortable and will allow relaxed learning to continue to flow.
As the teacher, I want to do away with traditional desk and tables inside the classroom.
I have found that when students are comfortable in the learning process, they tend to take in more and grasp what is being taught. I just want to continue with this transformation so that my students can get the FULL effect of this educational lounge.
My Project
These materials will make a huge difference in the learning environment. I want to take away the traditional look of the classroom and give my classroom more of a lounge feeling. The space that I have can be used to accommodate each student’s learning styles! Each item on the list will be purchased to make the learning environment calm and cozy. I selected the huge bouncing ball to allow students to move freely around the tables in my room. The mini stools and end tables will allow students who need to be close to the board to sit individually in the front around the rug. The bean bag chairs will allow student to lounge as they work on writing and other reading assignments. Each of these items will allow the “Scooby Doo Lounge” to be the educational place where students can be free and relaxed and learn!
