My Project
One thing every student loves today is music. Whether they’re using it to focus on their work or as a means to express their feelings, music has become a norm in today’s life. Instead of fighting against the music, I’ve learned to find the science of music. Utilizing music in my classroom has proven to be very useful.
My students and I have created almost 5 songs about science and I’ve seen that with each topic we’ve utilized music, they have scored much higher.
My students would make beats on the table that would be disruptive to class, so we made a deal that I would let them make a beat and rap if it were related to our content. They made a song about land and sea breezes which was shared with other classes at our school.
I plan to use the speakers as a way to create music with them in a setting that they can clearly hear and to incorporate it to teach new topics to them. For example, we utilize flocabulary to introduce new vocabulary for the unit. I also will be using the speaker to provide classroom music when our scholars are working because my scholars have proven that they are much more productive with background music.
